How to Read the Gauge on Your Propane Tank
The numbers on your gauge tell you the percentage of gas remaining in your tank. The number of gallons remaining depends on the capacity of your tank.
To find out how many gallons you have left, follow this simple formula:
Gauge Reading x .01 x Your Tank Size = Gallons Remaining
The gauge shown here, for example, shows a 250-gallon tank that has 60% remaining.
60 x .01 x 250 = 150 Gallons Remaining
Make sure you know your tank size!
